Entrepreneur Jim Allsup founded Allsup, LLC in Belleville, Illinois, in 1984 with a belief that innovative solutions could change lives. What began as a pioneering approach to Social Security Disability representation grew into a nationally recognized company helping people with disabilities navigate complex challenges and move forward with greater opportunity and independence. From the beginning, Jim's entrepreneurial vision combined business expertise, creative problem-solving, and a commitment to helping people. These are the values that also inspired a deep investment in the community Allsup calls home.
In 2019, guided by Jim's vision and the Allsup Family Foundation's legacy of giving, Allsup Charitable Services (ACS) was established as a 501(c)(3) private operating foundation. ACS brought a distinctive idea to life: infuse proven for-profit business practices and experience into the nonprofit world to help community organizations become stronger, more effective, and more sustainable.
Today, ACS works alongside nonprofit partners through Business Consultative Services grounded in four pillars: People, Planning, Programs, and Performance. Through coaching, facilitation, and consulting, we help partners strengthen leadership, improve operations, build sustainable systems, use data to inform decisions, and increase their measurable impact. Since 2019, ACS has contributed more than 50,000 hours of in-kind consultative service to organizations working throughout the Metro East.
Jim's commitment to expanding opportunity also inspired the Allsup Family Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Through tuition assistance, educational resources, and strong partnerships among ACS, schools, families, and community organizations, TAP has helped hundreds of students access quality educational opportunities and build pathways toward long-term success.
From an entrepreneur's vision to a growing network of stronger organizations, schools, families, and students, the idea that launched ACS remains at the heart of our work: when we invest in the capacity of people and organizations to succeed, the impact reaches far beyond any one project.
Our Time. Your Mission.
We believe all children should have access to a quality education.
